7 March at 6 p.m. Director of EMMA Markku Valkonen: Futurism in Italy: speed and fury. Location: exhibition space.
4 April at 6 p.m. Annamari Vänskä, PhD, and art historian Riikka Stewen: Sophie Calle, Take Care of Yourself. Location: Paletti, 1st floor.
21 April at 2 p.m. EMMA Director of Art Education and Customership Nana Salin interviews Inge Blomerus, artist Juhani Harri's widow. Location: exhibition space.
Markku Valkonen has led EMMA since 2002. Before EMMA, he worked as the director of the Retretti arts centre. Before taking up the management of art institutions, Valkonen was known as an art critic of long standing. He has published works on fine arts and worked as a curator and specialist in an international context.
Annamari Vänskä, PhD, is an expert on visual arts and currently contributes to the magazine Taide, among other activities. Vänskä is an academic researcher and lecturer and works as a curator of art exhibitions.
Riikka Stewen, PhD, is an art historian. In her research, she focuses on symbolism as well as modern and contemporary art. Stewen teaches at the Academy of Fine Arts and the University of Helsinki. Her first literary work, set in the world of art history, was published in 2011.
Nana Salin, MA, is the Director of Art Education and Customership at EMMA. She has been responsible for EMMA's pedagogical operations and staff as well as the supplementary programme for exhibitions and collections since 2003.
Inge Blomerus was married to the late Juhani Harri.

The children's event turns the WeeGee Exhibition Centre into a fantasy city where reality is a bit funny.
